Customer-focused, detail-oriented and reliable English-to-Turkish and Italian-to-Turkish translator with a BS degree in Engineering and 6+ years of experience specializing in translation & revision of various subject matters including patent documents. Successfully completed 10,000+ pages of translation projects for 80+clients including Amazon, Translated.net, and Mynet. Built and managed a team of 10 specialized native Turkish-speaking translators for a leading news portal in Turkey, assigning translation projects.

I started my career in the translation and localization field working as a vendor translator for SDL plc. when I was at Boğaziçi University. During that time, I completed several projects and gained experience mostly in technical translation (automotive and manufacturing). In 2017, I started my first full-time job as a translation project manager and carried out project management and quality assurance tasks for almost a year. In 2018, I was hired by a software company, JotForm, as a full-time English-Turkish translator. For 1.5 years, I translated a wide variety of content including JotForm's website, landing pages, products, inspirational blog posts, and mobile app into Turkish, which helped me gain immense experience in software localization and marketing fields, and knowledge in HTML language. I have recently decided to continue my career as a freelancer. I am currently working with several language service providers and providing high-quality translation and localization services.

I am a diligent and skillful linguist working in the English-Turkish language paired with expertise in IT localization, marketing localization, and technical translation. With the aid of theoretical knowledge and language skills that I gained during my bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpretation Studies and thanks to my experience in the industry, I deliver precise, highquality, and timely localization services within these fields.

After working in different industries for over 10 years, I've started working as a freelance translator seven years ago. I'm currently a sworn translator with extensive experience in the translation of business/finance, legal, and academic documents including business procedures/processes/reports, agreements, research papers, website content, instruction manuals etc. in areas such as banking, oil/energy, construction/architecture, IT, etc.. My past work experience gives me a great advantage in clearly understanding the content and context of a material and then translating/interpreting it accurately and effectively, but I also always try to improve my skills further and keep myself up to date with the latest developments in my industry. I am a passionate and experienced translator, who has a degree in French-English-Turkish translation and interpretation. I have also lived in Germany for 4 years and can translate from German to Turkish. I am working as a full-time translator at the Ministry of Justice in Turkey. I also work at the Turkish Standards Institution as a part-time language expert and translate EC and ISO standards into Turkish.
