As a native bilingual speaker (Russian/English) with fluent Azerbaijani, I have translated hundreds of documents between English & Russian as well as Azerbaijani to English. In the past 27+ years, I have simultaneously interpreted at hundreds of meetings, training sessions, conferences, workshops, and other similar events held on various subject-mattrers and in a wide range of spheres.

My translation career encompasses diverse areas, from movie industry (translating for Hollywood film stars (Jon Voight, Sammi Davis) to translating for roughnecks on drilling rigs in Siberia. This hands-on experience in various occupations, combined with technical background in survey & mapping, allows me to produce accurate, precise translations of even the most complicated texts. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2006, with more than 6 million words translated to date. I first started my translation career in mid 1980-ies with a few odd translation / interpretation jobs of a few months each. I then went on to work as a staff translator for the first Soviet-US JV White Nights in 1990 and continued to pursue this career with several other JVs and US companies until 2006, when I became a full-time freelance translator. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.

I worked as an International Project Manager at one of the biggest private universities in Russia for several years. I constantly dealt with various documents, contracts, presentations, and official letters, which I developed in Russian and English. I conducted business negotiations and correspondence with partners. I have a higher technical education, a master's degree in civil law, and a bachelor's degree in linguistics.
